e-newsletter - 2nd edition - December 2005

Editorial

Highlights you will discover in this second edition of our e-newsletter include “Antimatter – Angel or Demon?” a talk at the Singapore Science Centre by Dr. Rolf Landua - the physicist described by Dan Brown as having produced 1g of antimatter - and the visit by Swiss astronaut Professor Claude Nicollier to Singapore in May 2006.

Looking back, the Swiss House Singapore attended its first Board Meeting a few weeks ago in Switzerland. One of the major topics discussed was the implementation of more common projects at the three Swiss Houses located in Boston, San Francisco and Singapore.

You will therefore hopefully discover more of such events in the future, including a major exhibit showcasing Swiss schools of Architecture, to be highlighted in our next edition. In this context, the Swiss House Einstein exhibition at the Science Center Singapore will be traveling to swissnex in San Francisco, after being on display in Kuala Lumpur, Hanoi and Beijing.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holiday Season, and a Successful and Prosperous New Year 2006, including many fruitful collaborations with the Swiss House Singapore.

Dr. Suzanne Hraba-Renevey
Executive Director
