New Representation of University of St.Gallen and UAS of Eastern Switzerland

The University of St.Gallen and the University of Applied Sciences (UAS) of Eastern Switzerland operate a Representative Office at the Swiss House Singapore since March 2006. This new initiative extends the presence of the University of St.Gallen in Singapore, whose Asia Research Centre is located at the Swiss House since 2004. The Representative Office further stresses the historically strong link of the Swiss University with Singapore and underlines the tight cooperation with the Swiss House.

The main function of the Representative Office is to maintain and expand the Asia Hubs of both Universities in Singapore by contributing to their visibility. It acts as a service platform and interlinks relevant networks such as the alumni, researchers, academic institutions, and corporate partners.

On an operational level, the Representative Office provides information to individuals as well as institutions on admission and study programs. Such information events are exemplified by a presentation at the United World College end of April. In cooperation with the Swiss House Singapore, the Representative Office also informed prospective students about overall studying opportunities in Switzerland. The many questions that were raised during the event showed the necessity and appreciation of this service.
