Southeast Asian Delegation at the World Knowledge Dialogue
14 – 16 September 2006

The World Knowledge Dialogue (WKD) symposium in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, will bring together experts of both natural/technical and human/social sciences to bridge the gap and promote the dialogue between the two scientific fields, by discussing two main topics: New Discoveries defining Complexity, and Origin and Migrations of Modern Humans.

The Swiss House Singapore, a scientific partner of the World Knowledge Dialogue organizing committee in Southeast Asia, assists with the communication and marketing of the symposium in Singapore and the region and is setting up successfully a diversified Asian delegation attending the event. Most attention has been devoted to directly contacting major universities, institutes of higher learning and research as well as individual personalities.

Among the Singaporean participants are delegations from the National University of Singapore (NUS), the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the Singapore Management University (SMU), as well as a group of scholars from the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) led by its chairman Philip Yeo. Furthermore, participants from Malaysia and Thailand will complete the Southeast Asian delegation.

The online registration for this unique event is still open and the Swiss House Singapore has grants for the registration fee to offer. In addition, abstracts, rewarded with free registration and hotel accommodation, can be submitted until 15 June. Kindly e-mail info@swisshouse.org.sg for further enquiries.
